Mixed Levels
Tuesday, 9:30a-10:45a
hybrid (in-person at studio + simultaneous livestream)
JP Centre Yoga
This flow-based (vinyasa) styled class unites movement and form. Designed for new and experienced students alike, classes are intended to be vigorous, yet made accessible with a variety of options within poses. Expect to engage in dynamic movement with integrated deep, long holds. This style of yoga builds core power, stretches, strengthens and cleanses the body, and offers the opportunity for deep healing and release. Our intent in all our classes is to build a non-competitive environment where students are invited to move at their own pace.
Dynamic Flow
Tuesday, 12:00-12:50p
hybrid (in-person at studio + simultaneous livestream)
SOMA Yoga Center
Dynamic Flow is our more rigorous Vinyasa style. These expertly crafted classes offer strength based asana with smart sequencing leading you towards a more advanced peak pose. Our advanced class caters to teachers and committed students, and features more speed and strength-building elements than might appear in a typical Flow class.
Tender Tuesday Basics Flow
Tuesday, 5:30-6:45p
virtual + interactive
sign up: SomerJill Live 2023
A slower paced class, punctuated with a handful of vinyasas. Great for folks new to yoga, or returning practitioners. A mix of standing, seated, prone, and supine shapes, usually tethered to an anatomical or philosophical theme. It’s tender, so expect a focus on self-care and some time for restorative shapes.
All Levels Flow

MOTA Somerville
A briskly paced vinyasa class that will lead practitioners toward variations of postures beyond the ordinary. Chances to work binds, arm balances, inversions, and strength-intensive holds. In one of these classes, expect plenty of options to level up or tone it down based on how you are feeling that day. Come get your heart rate up, strengthen and stretch your muscles, and connect with your breath! This class is free with a BBP membership and included in the cost of a day pass.
Slow Flow (Gently Heated)
Friday, 4:30-5:30p
hybrid (in-person at studio + simultaneous livestream)
Be in Union
A softly paced class designed to invite ease and fluidity through the body. “This class the perfect antidote to an active life.” In-studio yogis will be practicing in a heated room, ~85 degrees. Classes frequently focus on the movements of the spine, often include a few moments of pranayama (breath work), and provide space to notice the sensations of the body and the fluctuations of the mind.
Prenatal Yoga
Friday, 6:00-7:00p
hybrid (in-person at studio + simultaneous virtual stream)
Be in Union
All folks are welcome during any stage of their pregnancy. No previous yoga experience is required. Classes are designed to alleviate common ailments of pregnancy, as well as help reduce stress and steady the mind (helpful during pregnancy, birth, and into parenthood).
Prenatal yoga supports a hardworking body. We take variations of postures and use props that provide support for the extra weight a person carries while pregnant. We accommodate for the extra effort it takes to move and breathe during pregnancy. Sequences include repetitive motion and moving with breath: rocking, rolling, and shifting to help mobilize joints and release stiffness. We focus on building strength and opening through the lower body: connecting with the power of the legs and glutes, while bringing space and softness through the pelvis and front of the torso. We dedicate time for supported, restorative postures to focus on the breath and make a connection with baby. We connect with each other. Students are invited to share as little or as much of what they are experiencing week to week: what feels good, what doesn’t, what’s new. We exchange information, share resources, and provide community support.
Heated Flow
Saturday, 4:15-5:30p
hybrid (in-person at studio + simultaneous livestream)
JP Centre Yoga
Much like JPCY’s Mixed Levels classes, this vinyasa based class balances effort, awareness and breath. Heating the room to match our internal body temperature (about 95 degrees) warming the muscle tissue for increased suppleness and can further enhance neurological, cardiovascular, digestive, and immune function.
Align & Flow
Sunday, 10:00-11:15a
in-person at studio
SOMA Yoga Center
For weekend movers of all levels. Align & Flow is an alignment-based Vinyasa class designed to connect your mind with your body. You can expect expertly crafted classes with smart sequencing and flowing movement guided by your breath.
